A ruling released today by the Westchester Fair Campaign Practices Committee found that Assemblyman Greg Ball, a Republican running for state Senate, sent out a mailer with four unfair statements about his Democratic opponent, Westchester County Legislator Mike Kaplowitz.

The committee disagreed with another of Kaplowitz's complaints, deeming fair Ball's criticism of Kaplowitz's approval of Westchester's federal housing settlement.

It's the second time this month the independent committee has ruled against Ball and one of his mailers in the race for the 40th state Senate District.
