Democratic and Working Families candidate
Scott Murphy was endorsed by the mayor of his home city on Friday.
“He shares the passion of Glens Falls. He knows our needs,” said Glens
Falls Mayor John “Jack” Diamond at a meet-and-greet reception in the city’s 1st
Ward.
Diamond, a Democrat, said he got to know
Murphy last year when Murphy, a local businessman, participated in discussions
of forming a regional water and sewer system.
Murphy also picked up an endorsement from
former state Assemblyman Larry Corbett, a Republican from Queensbury.
